Description
This one is interesting, but I’d treat the AliExpress listing with some caution.
The product appears to be a generic/OEM amplifier sold under a “Pioneer New Product” title. I found the same 45W×4 Android DSP amplifier associated with Guangzhou Zhongying Automotive Parts Co., Ltd., with wholesale listings around $13–$16 and a supplier rating around 4.3/5.
What the 45W×4 actually means
If the advertised 45W × 4 is genuine RMS power, that’s a useful amount for powering four normal door speakers. In fact, the genuine Pioneer GM-DX104 is also rated at 45W RMS × 4 at 4Ω, although it’s a substantially more expensive, established Pioneer product.
So I would not assume this AliExpress amplifier is a genuine Pioneer product merely because “Pioneer” appears in the listing title.
The DSP is potentially the bigger attraction
For an Android head unit, a small 4-channel amp with DSP can be useful because you can potentially tune:
- EQ
- crossover/high-pass filtering
- channel levels
- time alignment
- front/rear balance
- overall speaker response
That can make a bigger audible difference than simply adding wattage.
My main concerns
1. Power specification needs verification.
I’d want to know whether the 45W ×4 is RMS at 4Ω, and at what distortion level. Cheap amplifier listings often emphasize maximum/marketing power rather than continuous RMS.
2. “Pioneer” is questionable.
The independent wholesale results identify the manufacturer as Guangzhou Zhongying rather than Pioneer Electronics.
3. DSP software compatibility matters.
Before buying, I’d specifically check whether the listing shows the Android DSP app, screenshots of the tuning interface, supported Android versions, and whether the amplifier can be adjusted without a proprietary cable/app that may disappear.
4. Installation compatibility.
If you’re connecting it to an Android head unit, I’d want to know whether it uses RCA inputs, speaker-level inputs, or a vehicle-specific plug-and-play harness.
For perspective
A legitimate Pioneer GM-DX104 currently sells for about $200, and its published specification is 45W RMS ×4 at 4Ω.
There’s also the Alpine KTA-450, another established compact 45W RMS ×4 amplifier, but it’s around $300.
So if this AliExpress unit is $20–$40, you’re essentially gambling that the inexpensive OEM hardware delivers the advertised performance.
If you’re considering it for your particular car/Android stereo, send me the car year/model and the Android head-unit model (or a photo of its wiring). I can tell you whether this amp will actually work with it and how I’d wire the four channels.
